More About the JAET
The Journal of Advances in Engineering and Technology (JAET) is an international, open access, double blind peer-reviewed journal. It is published by the Faculty of Engineering of Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT). The JAET aims at fostering research and development work in Engineering and Technology and bringing researchers on to a common platform. Furthermore, JAET will also accept review articles on appropriate subject areas including concept papers of academic opinions, book reviews, etc. for publication therein.
Peer Reviewed -
All the submitted papers in JAET are passed through rigorous peer - review process ensuring only high-quality content published.
Open Access -
All the articles are available free to download, distribute and share.
Publication Frequency -
The journal publishes two issues a year.

Facts, information and opinions published in JAET are solely statements made by the respective authors and they are responsible for the statements, the accuracy of them, and citations of resources.
Selection of papers from SICET (SLIIT International Conference on Engineering and Technology) proceedings
- SICET papers are double blind peer-reviewed by two experts and authors are expected to address the comments before they submit the camera-ready papers.
- A working committee will be contacted the authors whose manuscripts are of adequate quality to publish and communicate conditional acceptance of the manuscripts for JAET.
- Authors will have the choice of publish the manuscripts in SICET proceedings or JAET.
- If the author/s decides to publish in SICET proceedings, the manuscript will be published in SICET proceedings without any modifications/improvements.
- If the author/s decides to publish in JAET, the manuscripts will undergo another cycle of review. The next cycle of review will be a single blind peer-reviewed by a subject expert.
- Authors are expected to improve the paper addressing the review comments until co-editor is confirmed the quality.
- Once, the co-editor confirms the quality of the paper, the manuscripts will be sent for language editing.
- Author/s will confirm the language edits.
- Editor-in-charge will be sent the notification of the accepted papers to the author/s.
